Raja Petra’s Trial Postponed To Monday, Prosecution Intends To Review Charge

PETALING JAYA, Oct 9 — The Sessions Court here today postponed the sedition trial of blogger Raja Petra Raja Kamarudin to Monday after the prosecution applied to review the charge against him following the foundation of the charge being disputed by the defence.
Judge Rozina Ayob made the deferment after defence counsel Gobind Singh Deo found the alleged seditious article attached to the charge sheet was not the same as the one posted on the bloggers website on April 25.
Gobind also made a comparison of the two articles and pointed out that the one attached to the charge sheet did not have a title whereas the actual one carried the title “Lets Send the Altantuya Murderers to Hell.”
“There are also several contradictions, in that the contents of the attached article were re-typed and Raja Petra’s picture was copied and pasted,” he said.
Earlier, Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) Roslan Mat Nor had made an objection to ensure any questions pertaining to the murder of Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu not be asked in too detail as the case was still being heard at the Shah Alam High Court.
He made the objection after Gobind asked questions as to how Altantuya was murdered and what happened during the incident.
Today’s proceedings centred on the testimony of the prosecution’s fifth witness, National Bureau Centre/Interpol assistant director, DSP Gan Tack Guan.
Cross-examined by DPP Ishak Mohd Yusof, Gan said he made a police report on April 30 after reading the article on Altantuya in the Malaysia-Today blog as four issues raised in were not true and were mere fabrications.
He, however, could not say for sure what the four issues were.
“I read the article twice, the first time on the computer in my office and the second at the office of DSP Mahfuz in Bukit Aman (federal police headquarters).
“What I know is that some the contents were not true and were mere fabrications,” he said.

Malangnya ramai yang menjadi gila dengan trend sedemikian adalah anak watan dan yang serumpun. Sedih-sedih.
Yang menghairankan adakah dengan melabelkan seseorang dengan nilai yang negatif seperti (bodoh piang, najis dan sebagainya) maka secara otomatik menjadikan mereka ini mempunyai nilai positif serta mendapat pengiktirafan?
Secara ikhlasnya, tidakkah apa yang mereka dapat — tetapi tidak disedari — adalah kerendahan darjat dan kehinaan semata-mata?
Begitu juga sudah menjadi satu retorik untuk laman blog pembangkang mengajak khalayak pembaca yang bersifat ‘tong sampah’ bagi menerima semua sampah sarap yang dibuang dari laman PR.
Contohnya “Respect Is ERANED, NOT Commanded”. Kita bersetuju yang ianya satu slogan yang ada kebenarannya dan bernilai positif. Lalu pelayar tong sampah yang tidak berapa pintar akan “copy & paste” perkara tersebut lalu di muat turun dan seterusnya ditampal ke merata-rata tempat seolah-olah mereka membawa mesej yang suci lagi murni walhal kesemua ini hanyalah retorik dan tidak lebih permainan psikologi yang menguntungkan politik pembangkang.
Nah, dalam keghairahan laman blog pembangkang meraih sokongan dan langganan tanpa dibatasi oleh etika dan moral makanya telah terbiasa bagi mereka menggunakan banyak pendekatan yang tidak budiman. Mereka bukan saja pemukul curi tetapi mereka juga melontar batu sembuyi tangan. Lebih jijik apabila yang dilontarkan adalah maklumat taik!!
Kalau mereka jujur dan bertanggungjawab ke atas perlakuan itu makanya boleh juga kita bersetuju dan menghormati perjuangan mereka. Ini tidak berlaku. Mereka bersembunyi disebalik imuniti laman internet setelah melemparkan tuduhan taik ke muka lawan beb.
Ironinya, pelayar yang kagum dengan ayat retorik (yang datangnya daripada laman web pembangkang) telah secara tanpa usul periksa menjadikannya santapan minda tanpa menyelidiki status ‘halal dan haram’ terlebih dahulu.
Bukan setakat itu saja malah pelayar yang mudah diperbodohkan ini telah membenarkan minda mereka dibasuh sehingga mempunyai corak dan warna seperti yang dikehendaki; serta mudah dilentur, dibentuk dan dimanipulasikan.
Tong Sampah ini adalah sandaran pembangkang bagi menjayakan fasa seterusnya iaitu frasa “matlamat halakan cara” yang kini begitu terdesak untuk direalisasikan walau pun roket-dap yang digunakan telah dilancar ke arah bulan-pas sejak sekian lama dulu..
Jadinya kepada pemungut sampah setia laman blog pembangkang sesungguhnya tidakkah kamu berasa dipergunakan semahu-mahunya? Tidak malukah kamu tanpa segan silu terpaksa tunduk terhadap agenda rendah moral setengah pihak berkepentingan dalam PR dan lidah-lidah bercabang yang dipasangkan pada lidah rasmi pembangkang? Ish, ish.
Tepuklah dada lalu tanyakanlah soalan ini: Bijakkah tong sampah PR pada pandangan mata pelayar sejati yang tinggi jati dirinya?
